PopCartPDX is a mobile sound experiment created by Portland artist and DJ Carlos Baca. What began as a single speaker strapped to a bicycle has grown into a rolling micro-venue—part street party, part art installation, and part love letter to Portland’s creative community.
Powered by bike, battery, and the belief that music brings people together, PopCartPDX delivers surprise DJ sets, pop-up dance floors, and joyful soundscapes to parks, greenways, festivals, and neighborhood streets. Carlos collaborates with local artists, nonprofits, and community organizers to activate public spaces and create shared moments of connection.
Whether he’s supporting cultural events, setting the vibe for sunset hangout on the Willamette River, or sparking spontaneous joy on a random corner, Carlos brings intention, heart, and high-quality sound wherever the PopCart rolls.
