​PopCartPDX is Portland's mobile DJ and community arts project, led by DJ and artist Carlos Baca. We bring the music to you: block parties, park events, school dances, neighborhood activations, cultural festivals, and everything in between. If you want people to move, gather, and stay, we've got you.

What a PopCartPDX DJ Set Looks Like

We show up with a full setup, a cargo trike, and enough energy to bring any crowd together. Our sets are high-energy and community-minded. We read the room, mix across genres, and keep things accessible for all ages. No pretense. Just good music and good vibes in the places Portland actually gathers.

What We Play

Carlos brings a range of genres to every set — open format, Drum n Bass, Jungle, Dubstep, Techno, Latin House, Hip Hop, Motown, Cumbia, Omapiano and more. Sets are curated for the event and the audience. We take requests, read energy, and keep it moving. If you have specific sound needs, we'll talk through them during booking.

 

Who We Work With

We've DJ'd alongside nonprofits, neighborhood groups, bike collectives, school programs, community event organizers and arts organizations across Portland. Community partnerships are at the core of what PopCartPDX does and we bring that same energy to every gig, big or small.

 

Booking & Rates

DJ sets start at $500 for standard events. School and nonprofit rates are available. Reach out and we'll find something that works. We book a limited number of gigs each season, so the earlier you get in touch, the better.
